Posted: 03 Apr 2013 11:00 PM PDT

Bandages are useful if you have open wounds on your skin, but if you suffer from aches, we have a device that might help you out and ease your pain.

Thimble Bioelectronics is working on a wearable patch that is based on Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation technology that uses low voltage electrical stimulations that will help you deal with certain types of pain. The idea for such device came when Thimble Bioelectronics' CEO and founder, Shaun Rahimi, was working on a device that could help people with chronic arm and back pain. According to the estimated numbers, there are about 1.5 billion people with chronic pain worldwide, so there might be a market for such device. This device should use Bluetooth connectivity, and it should be compatible with smartphones thanks to the accompanying app to that will be used for tracking and managing pain.

This device sounds great, and Thimble Bioelectronics is currently looking for iOS developers for the mobile app, which means we could see this device available later this year.
