Umbra iSpoon combines stylus and spoon into one

Posted: 02 Apr 2013 11:30 PM PDT

We saw all sorts of unusual devices in the past, and if you're looking for a unusual stylus for your touchscreen device, today we have the perfect stylus for you.

If you cook while using your touchscreen device, and you don't want to stain it with your hands, Umbra iSpoon might be just what you need. This unusual device is designed by Jordan Murphy, and it's fully functional as a spoon, but you can easily flip it and use it as a stylus pen. This can be extremely useful if you're making food while checking recipes on your touchscreen device.

iSpoon sounds great, but according to the reports, it seems that this stylus is currently out of stock. As for the price, it might cost more than a regular spoon, but for $7 you'll get both spoon and a stylus pen, which is a pretty good deal if you ask us. Although you probably won't carry iSpoon with you at all times, it might be quite helpful in the kitchen.

Intermatrix U7 tablet runs on Ubuntu

Posted: 02 Apr 2013 10:00 PM PDT

As we know, Android is the dominant mobile operating system on the market, but if you want a device that runs on a different operating system, today we have the perfect thing for you.

Intermatrix U7 comes from Australia, and unlike most of the tablets on the market that run on Android mobile operating system, this one runs on Ubuntu. As for the hardware specs, Intermatrix U7 comes with quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex A9 CPU and quad-core Vivante GC1000+ GPU, so it should work fine with all types of multimedia. As for the memory, there's a 1GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage space. Additional specs include 7-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display and pair of cameras.

Intermatrix U7 is a unique tablet, but we have to wonder how will it handle Ubuntu as its operating system, since Ubuntu requires at least 2GB RAM to work. Release date should be in October, and in the meantime Intermatrix might change some of the hardware specs.
