Posted: 26 Apr 2012 10:58 AM PDT

As we all know, robots can do all sorts of things, they can run, walk, play instruments, and even sing, but the question remains, can they replace humans? It seems that this robot from South Korea might replace security guards in prisons, so let's have a closer look at it.

This robot is designed to work in prisons in South Korea, and its purpose is to secure the prisoners' life and safety, while reducing the work of human guards. This robot comes with 3D cameras and a special software that studies human behaviour, and it can even detect abnormal behaviour among prisoners and report it to its supervisors. In addition, this robot has a two-way wireless communication system, therefore, guards will be able to communicate with prisoners via this robot.

This robot might be helpful to prison guards in South Korea, but we doubt that it will replace real prison guards anytime soon.
