Caterpillar CAT B15: Rugged Android 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone

Smartphones are great but fragile devices, and if you're looking for a rugged smartphone, today we have the perfect model for you that comes from Caterpillar.



CAT B15 rugged smartphone comes from Caterpillar, and it has IP67 rating, and it can stay submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, and at the same time, it's designed to be dustproof as well.

Thanks to the aluminum body and rubberized casing, CAT B15 can handle drops from 1.8 meters onto concrete. This phone can function in temperatures between -20ºC to +50ºC, and its screen is scratch-proof thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass. As for the hardware, CAT B15 comes with 4-inch 800×480 touchscreen display that supports wet finger tracking.

This smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6577 dual-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, and it comes with 5 Megapixel rear camera, and VGA front camera for video calls. The B15 has 4 GB of storage space, but you can easily expand it thanks to the microSD cards up to 32GB, and thanks to the built-in battery, this phone can provide you with up 16.3 hours of talk time and it can last up to 20 days on standby. As for the software, CAT B15 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Asus PadFone Infinity 5-inch smartphone transforms into 10-inch tablet

Few months ago, we covered Asus PadFone 2, and if you liked it, we're pleased to inform you that Asus has announced new and improved model.



Asus has announced PadFone Infinity, a 5-inch LTE smartphone that can be docked into 10-inch tablet companion body that turns it into a tablet. As for the hardware, PadFone Infinity uses Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, and it comes with 5-inch 1920×1080 (441 ppi) display. This device comes with 64GB of built-in storage space, and it works with 100 Mbps LTE, but if 100 Mbps LTE isn't available, PadFone Infinity can use 42Mbps DC-HSPA+. PadFone Infinity comes with 13 Megapixel camera with a large aperture f2.0 lens that should work well in low-light conditions. The camera can also shoot eight images per second without shutter lag, and you can use the same feature during 1080p recording. As for the software, this device uses Android 4.2.

Asus PadFone Infinity sounds great, and it should be available for 999 Euros, or $1,330, in April.
