Apple updates MacBook Pros with new hardware

As you know, Apple has announced iPad Air and new iPad mini, but that's not all that Apple has announced, since MacBook Pro also got a hardware update, so let's check it out.



Apple has updated both 13-inch and 15-inch model, and speaking of improvements, the 13-inch model is now lighter and it weighs under 3.5 lbs. 13-inch MacBook Pro also got slimmer, and it's .71 inch thick, and it comes with bigger battery that can last 9 hours. This model comes with integrated graphics, Thunderbolt 2 and WiFi 802.11ac. 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with quad core processor and it uses Intel Iris Pro graphics. We have to warn you that entry model of this laptop comes without dedicated graphics, so keep that in mind. We also have to mention that both models come with Retina Displays.

Starting price for 13-inch MacBook Pro is $1,299, and it comes with 2.5GHz dual core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and Intel Iris graphics. As for the 15-inch MacBook Pro, entry model is priced at $1,999, and it comes with 2.0GHz quad core i7, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and the Iris Pro graphics integrated chip.

Apple announces iPad mini 2 with Retina Display

After Apple's iPad Air announcement, it's no wonder to see new version of iPad mini announced as well, so without further ado, let's see what will iPad mini 2 offer to its users.



New iPad mini comes with similar design as the previous model, it's made from anodized aluminum and it comes with thin bezel. Screen has been updated and now this tablet uses 7.9-inch Retina Display with 2048 x 1536 resolution and 326ppi density. Just like its bigger brother, iPad mini 2 comes with A7 64-bit processor and M7 motion coprocessor, and thanks to the new CPU iPad mini 2 is four times faster and it delivers 8 times faster graphics. There's also a 802.11n Wi-Fi with MIMO that should double up your WiFi speed. Another improvement is the battery that will last 10 hours on a single charge.

iPad mini 2 made a huge performance boost with the new Retina Display and new processor, and the 16GB WiFi-only model should cost $400 while the LTE model is priced at $530. Regarding the availability, we should see iPad mini 2 available someday in November.

iPad Air: Apple’s new tablet announced

Apple's iPad was a huge hit when it was first released, and today Apple has updated its offer with a newly announced version of iPad.



iPad Air is thinner than the previous versions and it comes with smaller bezel. According to Apple, new iPad is 20 percent thinner, it's only 7.5mm thick, it's 28 percent lighter than the previous model, and it weighs about 1.0 pound. Regarding the display, Apple Air comes with 9.7-inch Retina Display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. In the hardware section there's 64-bit A7 processor with M7 motion coprocessor, same as the one in iPhone 5S. According to Apple, new processor is 8 times faster, and it offers 72 times better graphics performance than the old processor. iPad Air comes with 5-megapixel iSight camera, and there's also a FaceTime HD front-facing camera on the front. Apple claims that iPad Air has doubled transfer rate on WiFi thanks to the MIMO 802.11n support, but there's no support for 802.11ac. As for the battery, new iPad can last about 10 hours on a single charge. Regarding the software, this tablet will be shipped with iOS 7.

iPad Air offers improved performance and design, and it will be available in space grey and black. Starting price for iPad Air is $499, while the LTE model will cost you $629, and we should see these tablets available worldwide on November 1st.
