Acer Liquid S1: First phablet from Acer Posted: 23 Jul 2013 10:05 PM PDT Acer is well-known for its devices, and it seems that Acer is trying to make its way onto the phablet market with its new device, so let's see what this device has to offer. Acer Liquid S1 comes with 5.7-inch HD 1280 x 720 display, quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6589T CPU and 1GB of RAM. Regarding the cameras, this phablet uses 8MP rear-facing camera, and 2MP front-facing camera for video calls. As for the storage, Acer Liquid S1 has 8GB of internal memory, but there's also a microSD card slot for expansion, and regarding the software, this device runs on Android 4.2 with Acer's Float UI. Acer Liquid S1 sounds like an interesting device, and the starting price of this phablet is €349, or $454, and we should see it available in different parts of Europe and UK in third quarter of 2013.
