Speculated: iPhone 5 might use NFC technology

We're waiting the new iPhone with anticipation, and speaking of which, today we have some leaked information regarding iPhone 5.

According to the reports, hardware code dump for iPhone 5 prototype references to the NFC-capable hardware, which leads us to conclusion that iPhone 5 might have NFC features. In addition to the reports of NFC-capable hardware, there's also an announcement that new iOS 6 might use Passbook digital wallet feature, and since Passbook is used for storing things such as your boarding pass, movie tickets and such, it would be no surprise to see this this feature combined with NFC technology for quick scanning.

So far, NFC capabilities are just a speculation, and since we're talking about iPhone 5 prototypes, the whole NFC concept might be abandoned in the final version of the product. However, we have to agree that NFC technology would be a welcome addition to iPhone 5, but the question remains whether we'll see it in the final version or not.
