Hudl: Affordable 7-inch tablet from Tesco

We see new tablets on the market almost everyday, and today we have a tablet that comes from UK retailer Tesco.



Tesco has announced its Android tablet called Hudl, and this is a 7-inch device that is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. As for the display, it will use 1440×900 resolution that will look nice on your 7-inch screen. Additional features include 16GB onboard storage space, but there's microSD card slot as well that supports cards up to 48GB. There's also WiFi connectivity and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean preinstalled. Additional features include Google Play store access, Tesco's BlinkBox and Clubcard TV platforms.

Tesco Hudl sounds interesting, and this device will be available in black, blue, purple and red colors. As for the availability, you can get this device from Tesco's website or from retail stores for £119. As for the availability in United States, no information is available at the moment, but it probably won't make its way to the US.

Verizon reveals Ellipsis 7 tablet hardware specs

Few days ago we wrote about Verizon announcing Ellipsis 7 tablet, and as you probably know, no hardware specs were revealed at that time, but if you're considering purchasing this tablet, you should know that its hardware specs have been revealed.



We should mention that Ellipsis 7 tablet is a part of Verizon's new Ellipsis brand, and we have no information what other devices will be the part of this new brand. As for Ellipsis 7 tablet, it comes with 1280×800 LCD 7-inch display and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor from undisclosed manufacturer. Additional specs include 1GB RAM, 8GB onboard storage, and microSD card slot for expansion. There's also 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a 4,000mAh battery. Regarding the software, this tablet runs on near vanilla Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and it comes with RedBox, Amazon, iHeartRadio apps. As for connectivity, this tablet is compatible with Verizon's 4G LTE network.

Ellipsis 7 sounds great, and it's available from online store and retail stores, and you can get it for $250 without a contract, or you can get it for $149.99 with a two-year contract.
