Xperia Z Ultra: Bigger and better version of Xperia Z

Sony is trying to make its way onto phablet market, and therefore, Sony has announced a new phablet device, so let's check it out.



Xperia Z Ultra is enhanced version of Xperia Z, and it comes with 6.44-inch Full HD touchscreen display. The screen comes with TRILUMINOS Display for mobile, Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and X-Reality for mobile, so it can deliver sharp and natural picture.

This device comes with OmniBalance design and tempered glass front and back, and it's 6.5mm thick while weighting 212 grams. Regarding the hardware, Xperia Z Ultra comes with 2.2GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. There's also a 8 Megapixel camera with Exmor RS for mobile sensor, and this camera supports HDR recording for both photos and videos.

There's also a 2 Megapixel camera that supports Full HD video recording. Regarding the features, Xperia Z Ultra supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, NFC, ANT+, STAMINA mode, FM radio and LTE 4G.

As for the storage space, this device comes with 16GB of internal storage space, but there's also a microSD card slot for expansion that supports cards up to 64GB.

Xperia Z Ultra sounds great, and it should be available in black, white and purple in the third quarter of the current year.
