Logitech Harmony Link: Universal remote controller that works with iOS and Android devices

We already showed you VooMote One, an accessory that turns your iOS device into universal remote controller, and if you're looking for another way to use your iOS device as universal remote controller, Logitech might have the right thing for you.

Logitech is planning to release a new device called Harmony Link in the US, and according to Logitech, this new device will turn your iOS or Android smartphone into the smartest universal remote control in the world. Logitech Harmony Link works with free Logitech Harmony Link app that allows users to browse a personalized schedule of their favorite shows or movies. After receiving WiFi signals from Harmony Link App, Logitech Harmony Link converts them into commands in order to control your devices. As for the number of supported devices, Logitech Harmony Link supports 5000 brands at the moment, so it will probably work with most of your devices.

Logitech Harmony Link should be available on the US market in October 2011, and it is priced at $99.99, so if you're looking for universal remote controller, make sure you check it out.

Self-driving car spotted on the streets of Berlin

Self-driving cars might be part of the future, but thanks to the German researchers, there's a self-driving car driving on its own on the streets of Berlin.

This new car is capable of seeing and driving on its own and it doesn't even need a human to remotely control it. This vehicle is controlled by computer, and it is roaming on the streets of Berlin thanks to the researchers from Berlin's Free University. As for orientation, this vehicle is using all sorts of sophisticated devices, and it has satellite navigation system located in its trunk. For navigation, this vehicle will have camera in the front and laser scanners on the roof and on the front and rear bumpers in order to prevent accidents. According to its developers, this vehicle can recognize cars on the road, pedestrians, buildings, and trees up to 70m around it, and it can even recognize traffic lights, and respond faster than human driver responds.

Current self-driving vehicle is Volkswagen Passat, and as for the price of one self-driving car, we estimate that it should cost around €400,000.

TAG Heuer’s Mikrotimer Chronograph measures to 1/1000th of a sec

Check out TAG Heuer's latest tech Mikrotimer watch which is capable of measuring up to 1/1000th of a second. To do this, the watch's caliber run at 500 rotations per second, or 500Hz. In other words, and the Mikrotimer runs at 3.6 million beats per hour.

You can see in the video below, when operating as a stopwatch the sweep hand is moving so fast you can barely see it in motion.
